Hotel Cara Phnom Penh exceeds expectations for a budget hotel. The lobby and exterior are impressive, and the staff at the front desk are pleasant and helpful. The no window room we had was surprisingly bright and fresh, with excellent air conditioning and a comfortable bed. The shower had amazing pressure and hot water, and the room also had a flat screen TV and DVD player. Additionally, the free breakfast was a nice touch, especially the scrambled eggs prepared by the Spanish chef.
No aspects for improvement.

This is a basic hotel. The room was clean but other areas of the hotel seemed a worn.
I did not like the location very much. The hotel has rooms without windows - this was not clear until the booking was done. I find rooms without windows a bit strange and it is not okay that it is not clear at the beginning of the booking. However, I just needed a place to sleep for a short stay, the place was reasonably clean and the price was low. It was not a terribly bad experience but not good either, and I would not go back.

It was a good place to stop for a night on my way from Angkor Wat to fly out of the airport at Phnom Phen. Being a short distance from the airport, it cost very little to be taken to the airport. Since I was using the room mostly for sleeping and not for a long stay, the price was important. The informative and cooperative staff gave me the choice of quiet for sleeping or near the action of the night club.
The room was smaller than I expected, thus it did not have a comfortable chair for sitting in the evening. That was not a big deal for one night. It would help to have something on the walls from which to hang and de-wrinkle clothes in preparation for the flight out. All in all, very adequate for the price and a short hop to the airport.

The hotel has a convenient location with easy access to the lively riverside, where one can enjoy a variety of restaurants and shops. the modern rooms are clean and comfortable with excellent customer service. the complimentary internet access makes it easy to stay connected while traveling. Guests can also enjoy a delicious Japanese meal at the on-site restaurant.
The hotel may be situated a bit far from some of the major tourist attractions.

Great hotel for the price. Room with a balcony was very nice and the staff were incredibly helpful booking us tickets as well as going out of their way to help us with some other tickets we'd booked. Very clean and well maintained
Bit noisy - 2 clubs right next door!

Great value for your money with good location and comfortable rooms. The staff is extremely courteous, welcoming guests with beaming smiles as if they are family. The free WiFi is a bonus for business travelers who need to stay connected with the outside world while on the go. Plus, the restaurant meals, while nothing fancy, are filling and hearty.
If you're a light sleeper, be prepared for noise outside. , there are no window views.

New hotel with great design, friendly staff, cosy ambience, good location.
Peeling paint on the walls at some spots in the room. Buffet brakfast should have more variety.

Room area is quite small. There are no bathtub, no closet.

We loved staying at this hotel! It was clean and had great facilities, including a tasty tapas bar. We found the staff to be incredibly helpful, providing us with directions and even translating for us. The location was perfect - just a short walk away from the river, with easy access to transportation.
All was perfect!
